New project - Restoration of an antique water heater

A friend of mine asked if I wanted to take her old tank less hot water heater.  After seeing it I was thrilled to say yes.

The first image is the condition it was in, the next is the inventor along side a heater.  And the third images is a unit that has been refurbished which still has the burner system installed.  I've removed the copper tubing and taken the unit completely apart.  The inner walls have been remove which helps with the weight issue. Sunday will be cleaning day when I take all of the components to the quarter car wash to degrease and clean all of the pieces.  Once that's done and through drying and then off to the sandblaster to remove any leftover paint or rust. Once I've repainted the heater inside and out I will install a rotating shelving unit and turn this into one of the coolest liqueur cabinets around.  More photos as I take them to come.

Making sense of it...

Over 3 thousand pages of personally written notes, over 2 thousand pages of research, several thousand pages of emails and other documentation...it's time to make sense of it all.

I don't dare write the name of the company...figure it out on your own!

A couple current projects...

Above is a blade I am working on for my daughter as a graduation gift.  She is big into the Renaissance festival thing and after earning her Bachelors in Art History I want to make something cool.  My friends at 333 Midland cut the rough shape out of a steel blank.  I will spend the winter finishing it.

Below is a fiberglass piece I am making for another 3d canvas called "Something wicked this way comes".  Updates to follow.
